A 3 dunam residential complex consisting of 4 low-rise buildings, 11-story high. 13,OOO sqm (gfa), 13O residential units. The project site presented two significant challenges. First, the plot’s narrow and deep proportions necessitate the design of rear buildings, with a limited view. Second, the presence of neighbouring buildings that underwent a renewal process, bringing them closer to the plot’s rear boundary, creating a sense of density. We faced these challenges by creating the buildings’ layout around a spacious garden situated at the heart of the plot. The central garden serves as the project's entrance, accessible to all residents, thereby diminishing the hierarchical distinction between the front and rear buildings, fostering a sense of unity and equality among the project's various components and residents. To reduce the presence of the neighboring buildings, we designed the project’s rear buildings with narrow proportions, allowing most of their apartments to face only the quality view of the inner garden. The southern side of the garden is left open towards an existing pathway that leads to a nearby public garden. By doing so, the layout integrates the project into the neighbourhood’s network of open areas, reinforcing the urban fabric as a whole.
